Katr\u00e9 Fashion Show 2023 brings to the stage half a century of mature creations and experiences.<\/b><\/p>\n

On August 26, 2023, starting at 8 p.m., the Katr\u00e9 Fashion Show 2023<\/a> will take place in the newly renovated P\u00f5ltsamaa Castle courtyard, during which the collections<\/a> of the last 5 years will take to the stage along with the creations that have just come out of the needle. The models have their roots in many years, because Katre loves to sew clothes again. The show will be presented only once and is an overview of Katre Arula\u2019s life\u2019s work.

    Katre Arula has been an ardent craftswoman since childhood. Her greatest role models are her mother and grandmother. She received her professional education in the early years of Estonia\u2019s independence, both in Estonia and in Finland. Having spent her life sewing and recycling, she can be said to be a true master in her field. <\/span><\/p>\n

    Today, the Katr\u00e9 brand has grown into a small Estonian family up-cycling fashion brand. Fabric scraps and old clothes are repurposed into new and unique products \u2013 bags, clothes and accessories. All of Katre Arula\u2019s creations are handmade \u2013 every stitch, every detail has received a master\u2019s touch and you can be sure that they are made in Estonia by our own makers. The common feature of Katr\u00e9 products is the precision and time-consuming motifs made in original techniques, which are inspired by folk art. Glove patterns are made in a unique way as \u201cpixel<\/a> embroidery\u201d, brooches and silver necklaces are molded from fabric, buttons and furniture felt, and exciting 3D garments<\/a> are created with \u201cfelt roses\u201d. <\/span><\/p>\n

    Katre Arula has received the awards J\u00f5geva County Cultural Pearl 2013<\/a>, Estonian Folk Art and Crafts Association Heritage Keeper 2017<\/a>, and Craft Entrepreneur 2020. In 2020, the audience of the Estonian Fashion Festival<\/a> chose Katre\u2019s collection \u201cBlack Stork\u201d<\/a> as their favorite.
    \n<\/span><\/p>\n

    KATR\u00c9 MOESHOW 2023<\/a> will feature 6 collections, of which approximately 80 completely unique and unrepeatable sets will be presented. The models are made with a good sense of style and a little flair. Each collection has its own story. The longest story is the dress, which began in 2003. The musical design of the performance is the Estonian folk music ensemble DUO RUUT<\/a>.

    The gates will open an hour before the show, where there will be time to dine and enjoy summer drinks at the P\u00f5ltsamaa Castle restaurant Oberpahlen<\/a> or the retro food truck Ehedik<\/a>, and look around the newly renovated P\u00f5ltsamaa Castle courtyard.<\/p>\n
